Social Charisma & Conversational Confidence

Everything in one place: three lessons, five reference cards, the curriculum they hang off, and the sources underneath all of it.

You're fine at work and lost socially, and that isn't a general skill deficit — it's structural. A work conversation hands you three things for free: a reason to speak, a topic, and an exit. Remove the agenda and all three vanish at once. Everything below rebuilds one of those three by hand.

Take the baseline

A validated six-item measure. Take it before Week 1 and again at Week 6 — otherwise you'll have nothing to compare against, and the improvement will be invisible to you even if it's real.

The Six-Week Curriculum

Three two-week phases pinned to where you physically are — Kuala Lumpur, then Barcelona, then Lisbon. One primary drill per week; everything already learned demotes to maintenance reps rather than disappearing.

Lessons

Read in order. Each is roughly ten minutes of reading and then it stops being reading and becomes a drill with a number attached.

Lesson 01Week 1 · KL12 min
The Window

The physical spike is the starting gun, not the obstacle. Why waiting for it to settle is the thing costing you the opening, and the if-then rule that replaces the waiting.

Lesson 02Week 2 · KL10 min
The Lame Thing

You don't have an idea problem, you have a veto problem — and the veto is grading the wrong exam. How to measure your own error rate on it.

Lesson 03Week 3 · Barcelona10 min
You Don't Need Material

Running dry is what happens when you think the conversation is yours to fill. It isn't — it's yours to extract, and the follow-up question is how.

Reference cards

These are built to be printed or screenshotted, not read once. Weeks 4–6 lean on them directly.

Week 4Print me
Floor Mechanics

Getting into a standing group, holding the floor, and leaving warmly without standing there stranded. In each case the move that feels rude turns out to be the specified one.

Weeks 5–6Print me
Conversation Moves

What actually separates a good conversationalist from a great one. Question types, boomerasking, responding to good news, and the liking gap.

Weeks 1–2Protocol
The 29 Missions

Not an invention — the literal task list from a preregistered intervention that produced 1,336 conversations and moved the beliefs it targeted. Reproduced so you can run it rather than approximate it.

Charisma Baseline

The six-item measure, plus an honest sort of the charisma-training literature into what transfers to conversation and what is public-speaking research wearing a disguise.

The KL Window

Verified dates and venues for the days left in Kuala Lumpur, checked against live listings rather than "it runs weekly." Dated on purpose — it goes stale.

One thing worth knowing before you start

The rep tallies, quiz answers and the baseline scale save to this browser only — there's no account and nothing leaves your device. If you want your Week 1 counts to still be there in Week 6, use the same browser on the same device throughout, and don't clear site data for it.
